Great New (or at least new to me) Products

by Valerie Gladstone — September 24, 2007

I've been having a lot of fun, trying new products. You'll see my list below. But I'm only a one-person research center and would love getting your lists, so we can share our experiences. Not that everyone likes the same things but at least we'd know what has worked for someone else--nothing like word of mouth.

  • Stila Natural Finish, Oil-free makeup. Wonderfully natural looking and feeling. $32 at Sephora.
  • DuWop Revolution tinted moisturizer. Natural and light. $29 at Sephora.
  • Time Balm Concealer. Light with good coverage. $16 at Sephora.
  • Benefit Kohl pencil (color sable). Great color, long lasting. $18 at Sephora.
  • Stila Kajal eyeliner. Makes your eyes look brighter. I like topaz, far more subtle than white, which is usually too harsh. $16 at Sephora.
  • Vincent Longo Lip Stain Lipstick, with SPF 15. Soft, pretty, natural looking, and long lasting. $23 at Sephora.
  • Aveda Shimmer Accents. Pretty and light. $20.50 at Aveda.
  • Ojon Hair Shampoo, makes hair feel very clean. 8.44 oz for $22 at Sephora.
  • Ojon Hair Conditioner. really conditions, leaves hair soft and silky 8.44 oz for $24 at Sephora.
  • Fresh Nectarine Milk Soap, such a delicately sweet scent. $12.50 at Sephora.
  • L'Occitaine Shea Butter Soap, another wonderful soap in Lavender. $7 at Sephora.
  • Veet Hair Removal Gel. Much better than Nair--doesn't even smell bad but apparently, if you leave it on too long, it can burn your skin. 5.1 oz for $5 at drugstores.
