![]() Hair Care from your Refrigeratorby Shannon Larsen — April 5, 2008Instead of the "I'm washing my hair tonight" excuse, now you have an even better one for getting out of unwanted company and revitalizing your hair. All you need is a quick trip to the grocery store and some "you" time to restore your hair to the shiny and soft mane it was meant to be. Start with the Rosemary Clarifying Rinse to cut through dulling residue left by styling products. Heat 1 cup apple cider vinegar to almost a boil and pour over 2 tablespoons of fresh or dried rosemary. Cover and steep for 2 hours. Strain and add 10 drops of lavender essential oil and store mixture in a bottle. To use, mix 2 tablespoons of the mixture to 1 cup of water and massage well through your hair after shampooing, and then rinse. Now you've got truly clean hair that can shine. The next step is to restore moisture and softness with the Avocado Moisturizing Hair Pack. Blend 1 ripe avocado, 2 tablespoons yogurt, and 1 tablespoon honey into a puree and massage into damp hair. Leave in place for 30 minutes and then rinse out and shampoo. Your hair never looked so good. Comment on this Post
