Low-Maintenance Manis

by WiredBerries Editors — April 8, 2008

As I was signing my credit card receipt yesterday, I noticed the salesclerk glance down at the sorry state of my nails. I felt like I was back in elementary school, hiding my dirt-filled nails from my mother. If like me, you don't have time to run out and get regular manis, consider one of these low-maintenance options:

  • Products like Neutrogena Instant Nail Enhancer and Sally Hansen Natural Shine Instant Nail Finish gives you a finished look without the polish. They offer a nice sheen that also strengthens nails and prevents peeling and chipping.
  • Cut'em short and buff -- buffing your nails takes only a few minutes and gives them a clean, polished look (without the polish).

Have any low-maintenance mani tricks?

What people are saying...

Once a week I'll trim and file, then do one coat of a Sally Hansen polish in a nude color, then throughout the week whiten up the tips from underneath with a Salley Hansen white pencil designed just for that.
It's almost like a French manicure without the time or money. I've found the Sally Hansen polishes to stay chip-free the longest for me.
