Make healthy eating automatic with Men's Health's 20 tips for positive mindless eating. Here are a few of our favorites.

  • Put coffee in your milk instead of milk in your coffee. Inverse proportions and you'll net 25 percent of your daily requirement for vitamin D and 30 percent of your calcium.
  • Drink two glasses of water before every meal. The H2O will keep you hydrated and full.
  • Always order sandwiches with double tomato slices.
  • Have an afternoon snack every day at 3pm. A nutritional boost between lunch and dinner helps ward off fatigue and prevent overindulging.
  • Always leave the skin on your fruit. Skin from apples, pears, potatoes, and the like are rich in nutrients and fiber.
  • Always eat a (little) dessert. Sweets trigger satiety and signal the brain that the meal is over.
