Here's the dirt:

  • Fruit Lovers--Skip the Cosmo and sip a Sour Apple Martini and you'll save 91 calories. (Cosmo: 3oz citrus vodka, .5oz each triple sec and lime juice and a splash of cranberry juice, 251 calories; sour apple martini: 2.5oz sour mix and .75oz each vodka and sour apple liqueur, 160 calories)
  • Creamy Confectioners--Opt for a Mudslide instead of a White Russian and save 154 calories (Mudslide: .75oz each vodka, Baileys, and Kahlúa, 184 calories; White Russian: .75oz each vodka and Kahlúa and 3oz cream, 388 calories)
  • Destination Travelers--Save 114 calories by subbing a Tequila Sunrise for a Long Island Iced Tea (Tequila Sunrise: 6.5oz orange juice, 1oz tequila and a splash of grenadine, 209 calories; Long Island Iced Tea: 5oz sour mix and .5oz each vodka, gin, tequila, rum, triple sec, and cola, 323 calories)
  • Latin Lovers--Go Mojito instead of Margarita and save 206 calories (Mojito: 1.5oz rum, .5oz lime juice, 2 tsp sugar, and crushed mint, 132 calories; Margarita: 4oz margarita mix, 1oz tequila, 338 calories)
  • Purists--Pass on the Tom Collins and nurse a Gin & Tonic and save 105 calories (Gin & Tonic: 1oz gin and 3oz tonic, 103 calories; Tom Collins: 1oz gin, 5oz sour mix and .5oz club soda, 208 calories)
