![]() Be Childishby WiredBerries Editors — February 22, 2008Child's Pose is one of my favorite yoga poses. It is where I go when I'm feeling tired or overwhelmed, when I can no longer hold a difficult pose, and when I'm looking for a way to turn inward. It is a simple pose that helps you find a state of calm and relaxation. To find Child's Pose, or Balasana, kneel on the floor. Touch your big toes together and sit on your heels, with your knees hip-distance apart. Exhale and bend forward, so that your belly rests on your thighs, your forehead rests on the floor, and bring your arms to your sides, palms up by your feet. Stay in the resting pose for a few minutes, savoring the stretch in your back, hips, thighs, neck, and shoulders. No wonder children are always smiling! Comment on this Post
