The Best Place in the World to Live?

For the second year running in their annual Quality of Life Index, International Living answers with France. The 10 ten include predictable mainstays such as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, and Luxembourg as well as Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina - a first-timer in the top 10! The US scored fifth place. The organization considers cost of living, culture and leisure, economy, environment, freedom, health, infrastructure, safety and risk, and climate as well as the opinions of local correspondents from all over the world. According to the ratings, the world's worst place to be? Big surprise: Iraq.
