Another Year Older...

by WiredBerries Editors — February 29, 2008

If you are one of those people who would prefer your birthday pass quickly and without acknowledgement, consider rethinking your day. So maybe a big cake and a group of clapping waiters singing "Happy, Happy Birthday" isn't your thing. But there are many ways to distinguish your birthday. Consider developing a birthday ritual that's all yours:

  • Get up early and go for a walk before the chaos of the day begins
  • Make yourself a birthday playlist that you enjoy and add to every year
  • Donate or volunteer in recognition of your good fortune
  • Spend the entire day rereading your favorite book
  • Pick a new restaurant each year for a special solo birthday breakfast

You can make the day special for yourself to celebrate how good it is that you're here.
