To ease the challenging task of finding nutritious fare, consider the list of 129 healthiest (that is, nutrient-rich) items provided by the World's Healthiest Foods Web site. Sure, some of them are familiar all stars, but consider mixing in a few of the lesser-known for variety:

  • Asparagus
  • Beets
  • Swiss chard
  • Figs
  • Kiwifruit
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Millet
  • Molasses
