![]() Want to Stay Young? Get Off Your Arse!by WiredBerries Editors — February 6, 2008In a study published in the January 28th issue of Archives of Internal Medicine, researchers found that those who lead a sedentary lifestyle are biologically older than people who are active. Your biological age is your body's real age rather than your chronological age (the number of years you've been alive). Researchers measured leukocyte telomere (LTL) dynamics, which shorten over time and are ostensibly a biological indicator of human aging. A lazy lifestyle has an effect on LTL and may accelerate the aging process. This conclusion provides powerful motivation for regular exercise - get off your bum to stay young! Comment on this Post
