![]() Is It Time to Revisit Drivers Ed?by Maria F. Aldana — April 8, 2008It's most likely been a long time since you were behind the wheel with a certified instructor to help remind you that putting on mascara while speeding down the highway is not a good idea. Maybe it's time to touch up those cruisin' skills? If you're looking to improve your driving and change your outlook on being behind the wheel, look for a car club in your area that offers a driving school. Although the idea may sound far-fetched, consider gathering a group of girlfriends for a bit of bonding time at a driving school. Joanne, a BMW Woman's Driving school student, found the experience rewarding and fun, "The students were there to improve their skills, which happens naturally with increased practice--and to have blast." BMW of North America's Web site relearntodrive.com will open your eyes to a new world of driving. You can also check out the Alfa Romeo Club and the BMW Car Club of America. Most will offer a novice-level event geared towards the average driver. Although I doubt they'll teach you how to downshift while balancing a double-shot mocha with whip. Comment on this Post
