![]() Herbal Remediesby WiredBerries Editors — August 27, 2008Where I live, western medicine is regarded with a bit of skepticism and herbal remedies are the first stop on the road to treating or improving any condition. When I had an ongoing stomach ache, a friend recommended peppermint oil and gingerroot tea. Before your cold gets any worse, take Echinacea. And so on. But it's important to remember that these treatments can have side effects, especially when taken together and with prescription medication. For a helpful, quick reference to learn more about herbs before you start treating yourself, check out the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine's Herbs at a Glance fact sheets. You don't wanna get mixed up with the wrong herb! Comment on this Post
