Star Diet Secrets Revealed - Yes, Really!

by Deborah English — January 25, 2008

Title got your attention? I hate to be one to get onto any bandwagon, but seriously, it's difficult to ignore the hot bodies of Hollywood's A-list as they saunter up the red carpet. When "The Black Book of Hollywood Diet Secrets" authored by Hollywood insiders Kym Douglas and Cindy Pearlman is published at the end of January, I'll be getting mine.

The Black Book authors promise that the book is for "real women with real bodies..." and that it's packed with "little tricks that celebrities do, and if you emulate them, you will soon see weight loss."

For instance: Cindy Crawford sips vinegar to dull her appetite before dinner and Demi Moore eats apple slices with peanut butter when she wants a sugar fix. And, diet foods are a "no-go" area for the flawless Hollywood Stars - they eat the real thing, just not much of it. Black Book co-author Kim was shocked to discover Elizabeth Hurley tucking into real bacon with her eggs at breakfast, but then discovered that salad was on the menu for lunch followed later by a "small dinner."
Here are some extra Hollywood Hottie tips:

  • Eat Asparagus. As a natural diuretic, asparagus is great for reducing bloating.
  • Brush your teeth after every meal - purportedly, the action sends a sign to your brain that you are full.
  • Eat from Blue plates. Yep. You heard right. Studies show that food on blue is the least appetizing to your senses!
  • Sniff grapefruit oil 15 minutes before you eat to reduce your appetite. Rumor has it that Jen Lopez and Carmen Electra never leave home without it.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on your food. It's great for circulation and for the effective metabolization of your food.
  • Eat prunes with your meat burger. Nutritionalists say it cuts the fat by 40 percent. Really?
  • And, whatever you do, don't eat gherkins or pickles...unless you want to look bloated, that is.

Congratulations Kym and Cindy - you might just have struck your pot of gold!
