The profile of organic wines has been rising steadily in recent years. With full acknowledgement of the environmental benefits of this move, the question has arisen: do they taste any better than--or even as good as--their non-organic counterparts? A tasting put on by Wine magazine sought an answer to this question, and the results are available to commoners and wine experts alike at Wineanorak.com. Wines were blind-tasted in 30 matched pairs (organic and non-organic), with care taken to ensure that the wines were chosen to represent as close a comparison as possible within each pair.
