Take a Sustainable Vacation

by WiredBerries Editors — November 6, 2007

Paradise Bay in Grenada, the first resort with a utility-grade windmill, takes sustainable tourism a few steps further by implementing sustainability in every aspect of her activities. Unique is the Carbon Free Vacation program that offsets the carbon dioxide emission for flight and stay of every guest. Organic amenities are locally made; the organic meat comes from small local farmers, while the resort has an organic vegetable garden. The new Volunteer Vacation allows guests to assist local farmers with the resort's Agriculture Revitalization Program and social projects. Paradise never felt so right!
