![]() The CRO List: Responsibility Goes Corporateby Andrea Millar — May 17, 2008Enn.com points out that Corporate Responsibility Officer recently published their 100 Best of 2008: 100 companies from the Russell 1000 index who scored well in various categories across the board, such as Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, and Governance. Top scorer Intel's rating in both Environment and Climate Change was decent but was beat into the dirt by ITT Corp. Industrials, who landed the #3 and #2 spot respectively and then went on to grab the #9 spot overall. Whoever had the #1 environmental rating didn't seem to make the list, while surprise charmer Motorola had the #1 spot on Climate Change. CRO self-reports that this list is kind of a big deal. Companies call them up to accost CRO on why they didn't make it onto the list, and CRO can only point to their list of vigorous rules and shrug. Only a few companies have made it consistently onto the list from year to year. It would have been nice to see 2007 favorite Green Mountain Coffee...better luck next year. Comment on this Post
