![]() No Need for Willpowerby Laura Donnelly — October 4, 2007One of the best lessons (because I have no will power) I have learned from spas is to not deprive yourself. At one spa, just about everywhere you turned, there was food available. One area had a tea/coffee/smoothie bar that was always stocked with tiny raspberry muffins, itty bitty brownies, and dainty lemon cookies. You could help yourself any time of day and I noticed that if I could just have one little sweet treat, I was satisfied. Try to adapt this same philosophy at home. I keep oatmeal cookies in the freezer so they're a little more work to get at, they taste better, and they're not staring me in the face on the kitchen counter. I would recommend those mini 100 calorie bags of cookies and muffins being manufactured right now, but until they get rid of the trans fats, I can't do that... What tricks have you tried at home that you can recommend to us? Comment on this Post
