Brain-Building Smoothie

by WiredBerries Readers — March 13, 2007

Our smoothie of the week comes from M.J. Hasty of Philadelphia, PA, who developed the recipe to fight anxiety and ward off depression (the ingredients have been linked to enhanced memory, better concentration, and tranquility). A scoop of protein powder, she adds, makes it even more nutritious.

1 cup frozen blueberries
1 Tablespoon frozen grape juice concentrate (Concord not white)
1 banana
1/4 cup walnuts
3/4 cup water
Honey, to taste

Blend till smooth. Makes 2 servings.

What people are saying...

When I unwrap a stick of margarine or butter, I save the wrapper and keep it in the freezer. That way I always have one or two on hand when I need to grease a baking pan or cookie sheet.
