Crack-Free Eggs

"To prevent egg shells from cracking," says Stephanie Scholl of Indianapolis, Indiana, "add a pinch of salt to the water before you hard boil eggs." And if you're looking for an easy way to slice those eggs once they're peeled, she adds, use lengths of unflavored dental floss, sliding it like a knife lengthwise through the eggs.
