Breakfast Smoothie

by WiredBerries Readers — April 17, 2007

Our smoothie of the week comes from Sharon Bowler of Bellevue, WA, and weighs in at about 240 calories per serving. She calls it "Breakfast in a Minute" and likes to freeze the bananas overnight for a chunkier drink.

2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
1 cup fat-free milk
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup wheat germ
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons sugar
pinch of ground nutmeg

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth (using freshly grated nutmeg is easy and adds a nice zing). Serves two generously.
