If you're sick of splatters every time you whip heavy cream, Alison Quinn of Missoula, MT, suggests covering the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Cut an X in the wrap, and then poke the beaters of your hand mixer through the opening. The wrap keeps the cream from splashing all over your kitchen.
